CLC 1132 Heavy-Duty Tool Backpack

This heavy-duty tool backpack by Custom Leather Craft offers an excellent solution for installers and repair technicians who need to transport tools while still having their hands free, whether climbing ladders or carrying bulky replacement parts. The tool backpack's design incorporates pockets and sleeves of various sizes and configurations to hold a multitude of tools and small parts. The backpack works well for HVAC service reps, satellite/cable television technicians, stadium-lighting contractors, or for any worker in need of convenient hands-free tool transport.

Conveniently Compartmentalized

The tool backpack comes equipped with 75 pockets and sleeves. It's also sectioned off to provide the contractor with several partitions to help ensure organization of tool groups. For example, the tool backpack can hold a 14-piece wrench set in one section and a cordless drill in another. Custom Leather Craft has also included a section to hold an extension cord, pliers, a screwdriver, and much more. The tool backpack offers a hook and loops section and incorporates flap closure pockets to secure stored items.

Please improve this product
I am a marine electrician and have been using the tool backpacks since they've come out. The idea is great and there's room for most of my everyday hand tools but if I there was one thing I would change it would have to be the way the zippers and surrounding fabric is made. Over time once the bag breaks in the seems sag terribly and it puts so much strain on the zippers that they eventually begin to slip and seperate until you can't close them at all. Every one of my collegues owns one and will tell you the same thing. Once the zippers start missing, these backpacks are no longer dependable because you'll soon find tools missing that have fallen out. I understand this is good for CLC and Tool Pak because they'll sell more bags but when the inside of the bag still looks brand new I shouldn't be forced to repair or replace it due to a poor design on one very important part of the product. I'd love to see a better design in the future.

This has more than enough room for all my tools including a 18v impact and 28oz. Hammer. My only complaint is the padding for the back, it gets a little uncomfortable when walking for long stretches, otherwise it's a good product.

Looked great, so far so good
Bought this for my electrician boyfriend, it looks like it will last some time, like the fact it can stand upright. Love the many compartments it has and it holds a lot of his tools ( A LOT), but I think the zippers could be a little better. Overall happy with the purchase.

Very good for the money
I bought this back a few years ago and it held most of my tools almost perfectly. I tried to load all of my tools and the zipper teeth went south on me and I am now shopping for a new one. The outside pockets were of dubious worth as my smaller componants would fall out of them. The blind reach test was also tricky, if you didn't have room to fold out the flaps and were in an enclosed space, the value was mitigated quite a bit. I would recommed this pouch for those who have less than 20 pounds of tool and room to lay it out

Perfect
I bought this bag about two weeks ago, because I needed a bag that was large enough to hold all of my every day tools. I waited so long to post anything due to the fact that the last bag I bought, from another company/brand, fell apart and wanted to test it this one. Needless to say, this bag has held up to the job. It has plenty of room for even more tools than specified (just not sleeves). And the rear pocket has enough room to hold three volt meters plus tools! Oh, and when you put it on, it doesn't even feel like you have a lot of weight in it. The back of the bag and the shoulder straps are fully padded and it is raised to supply maximum support! And I you have the fear that the shoulder straps wont with-stand the weight from all the tools and fall apart, like my last bag, don't. I just weighed my bag at 146 pounds, and it hasn't torn or ripped at all! Plus, the shipping was really fast! Great Buy all around!!

Good Bag
Was looking for a tool bag to carry a lot of tools to carry on and off a Navy ship at work. I carry at least 125 lbs in it on a daily basis, sometime closer to 150 lbs. It is much more comfortable than a regular tool bag and organizes my tools better. The only complaint i have is the stitching on the straps. the left strap is just about to come off the bag with a little over a months use. but this has to be expected carrying this amount of tools. i'll just sew it back and re-enforce the right strap and it should be good to go. i recommend this bag to anybody that has to carry a lot of tools on a daily basis.

It arrived and it was up and working in seconds.I live on the second story of in apartment with an elevator, and wanted this to help me bring in the groceries and parcels.It's perfect!NO assembly, very light weight, and easy to use.I looked for a few weeks before deciding on this cart, and I'm so happy with my choice!Definitely would recommend this product.Addendum:I have finally used this product and as I was using it, I noticed that the handle wouldn't stay in the upright position.The cart was already full, so I had a pretty difficult time getting it back into the house.Once I got inside, I looked the cart over carefully and discovered that both sides, (where the adjustment handles for locking the handle into place), were cracked at the base.Thus, the handle will never be able to lock into any position, making the cart unusable.I actually believe this was ship this way and broken in...

Great Bag
I almost didn't get this bag because I couldn't find out how big it was. It is a perfect size for almost any tools you could think of. It has a large main pocket and a couple of others as well. It has pockets on the sides for water etc. There are compression straps and it has a net that allows you to put a hard-hat or other large object on the outside. It also has a rain shield tucked away under the botom that can cover whole thing in the event of a downpour. The straps are nice it has a chest strap and the back is padded so that you don't feel the tools inside.

Needs modification
This bag is rugged and it is great if you have larger stuff like a coat or water bottles to carry. I was looking for something that could take abuse outside and keep cell phones, planners, pocket audio recorders, digital cameras and things of that nature organized and safe. There are not enough small pockets for what I wanted to do. It is a rugged bag and I still use it. I had to sew the flap that covers the zipper to the main compartment, back over onto itself as the zipper would keep catching it and then get stuck, which is probably the worst thing about the design.Overall good for large things, but not enough small pocket for a gadget guy that need organizing. It looks like new even after a lot of use so thumbs up for large stuff and durability.
