Excellent bag, so far...
After years of trial and error with nearly every brand of backpacks (local and international), I rarely deviate from buying JanSport (and sometimes Targus, REI and Colombia). This little guy seems to belong to the same category in terms of style, functionality, versatility, and durability as Colombia, although I haven't quite put it throught the stress test (heavy load for 2+ years of abusive use).It's longer and roomier than my old Colombia sling bag, which was very typical of most sling bags in the market. Unlike the Colombia that allowed for switching the strap from one side to another, this one has a fixed strap (center at the top, to lower left on the back). Nice padding on the back, with plenty of pockets have made it my most frequently used bag on day to day basis.

Not sure what the other reviewers are doing to their zippers...
I don't really know why other reviewers are claiming the zippers are so weak, they're pretty normal if compared to regular $30+ bags. I wouldn't recommend this bag for a schoolkid with the average load of textbooks that I had when I was in grade school (literally 25lbs+ of textbooks and materials daily) but otherwise this bag is perfect. I can throw my gym crap in it, my netbook, and still have room to pack snacks and drinks. The extra pockets on the front and sides allow me to keep all of my other accessories neatly tucked away. I'm using this for uni and motorcycling primarily. The strap is comfortable and adjusts easily, and the range of it is pretty big, so if you're a bigger guy or gal this would be fine for you.

Nice...
I'm a 15-yr old kid and I use this for school and casual use, just carrying around some paperbacks, a journal, and maybe a hoddie. Since May (it's now August) I have been using this very often and the only thing wrong with it that I can tell is that after stuffing it so much with a hoodie, or school supplies, it has tore a tiny hole in the front pocket from the main pocket. Other than that, this thing is great and I love. Price is awesome too.

Cuuuute!
I really like this bag! I got it to take with me on a trip to cedar point instead of my big clunky everyday purse... Point being that it's a great little bag that is big enough for the essentials and then some ;) The only problem is that it smelled really rubbery when I got it... As if someone kept it in a bin of old rubberbands.

Perfect gift for my mother
My mother has Alzheimer's and loses things easily. This bag is perfect for her. She can keep her things (glasses, keys, etc.) in the bag, puts it on and keep everything with her. Otherwise, she puts things (including normal bags) down and can't find them. It's the just the right size, and it is very attractive. She likes the toile design. It's not too "loud", not too young, not too plain, and not too big. I'm even thinking of ordering one for myself.

Although smaller than what I am accustomed to, I wanted to try a crossbody type purse. Even small, it fits everything I need. My wallet, phone, camera, iPod, chapstick, bobby pins etc. Although I obviously can't stick clothes in there when I'm going to go stay at a friends house like I'm accustomed to with my other larger purses.WARNING: In the picture the color looks black and WHITE, it's actually black and TANISH/tea stained coloring.

Stylish bag
I have never been fond of purses because they can not be attached to your body like a fanny pack. Fanny packs are just not hip enough and I have been looking for a purse/bag that can stay attached to me. This shoulder bag is attractive and compliments almost any attire. The strap fits comfortably over my left shoulder and the purse portion rests near my right back hip. I never take it off even when sitting down. There are a few design flaws: a small zippered pocket inside for earrings or small items would be nice, the expandable zippers are not necessary because there is plenty of room to place items without using the expansion, and there should be a zipper to make sure none of the items fall out under the flap. If you are using it to go abroad, there is no way to safety pin the outside zipper closed to prevent pick pocketers but you could place the strap on the right of your shoulder and have the purse hang in front of you instead of in back. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Nice Organizer Bag That Isn't Too Expensive
When I broke my arm I purchased this bag so I could still carry a purse when I went shopping. The light colored lining makes it easy to see things inside the bag. If you don't like searching through your bag then this one should be a good choice because it keeps everything well organized.I still use this bag when I go grocery shopping so I don't have to leave my bag in a cart while choosing items in the store. I have had the bag for more than a year, used it on a regular basis, and it still looks good. If you have problems with shoulder bags sliding off your shoulder, this crossbody bag is a good solution.It would be nice if each color selection had a matching strap instead of the black that comes on all of the bags.

Great bag for school
My son wanted a 'grown up' book bag for sixth grade and decided he wanted a messenger bag. I wasn't to sure about that choice for him because he's not the most organized child. But, I bought it anyway and have been throughly impressed! It is very roomy and because it has more width room than length my son is able to see his bag getting junky and clean it out himself! The bag also seems to be helping him stay more organized and he keeps his books a notebooks together better and can find things more easily. My son has loved his messenger bag since day one and carries it to school proudly~he thinks it makes him cool! I'm just glad it has held up to the test and looks like it will be around for along time to come! Great bag!!!

Good Product
I carry a 2 inch and 3 inch binder, a laptop, a textbook, various school supplies, and a couple of gatorade bottles with me to my classes every day with this bag. I've never had a problem with it, and it seems to hold up to abuse quite well. The colors work nicely as well.

Very nice LOOKING, but disappointing.
This product could easily obtain a 5 star rating, if they would have included the inside zipper pocket (even a small one). This bag is very handy for the teens and very stylish. No where to store keys, bus ticket or pass securely, but does have a place for cell phone and three other open pockets. I wish they would redo, I would be willing to pay more (paid about $15 bucks).
